Hola Extremadura - Welcome - Bed and Breakfast
BED AND BREAKFAST PAN DE TRIGO
Pan de Trigo is a wonderfully friendly bed and breakfast in a tranquil country setting, 8km from the Spanish village of La Codosera and only half an hour away from Marvao and Portalegre in Portugal.
The house is set in two hectares of well planted land, and with three outdoor terraces your peace and quiet will be guaranteed. Two double rooms are available.
The main produce from the land is olives, grapes, oranges and many other fruits. Most food you will eat here will be home-grown, organic or home-made. Lunch and dinner can be provided upon request. Each room has its own private terrace/ patio.
Please note that our rooms do not have en-suite bathrooms.
Spanish cities such as Cáceres, Badajoz and Merida, and Portuguese towns including Portalegre, Marvao and Elvas are all within easy reach of the property, but the main attraction is the rugged countryside which conceals a wealth of natural, geological and historical treasures. Find out more »

How to find us
The best flight destinations for your holiday in Extremadura are Seville (Spain) and Lisbon (Portugal). The best option to continue your journey would be to hire a car at either airport. Both cities are around a three hour drive. It is also possible to fly into Madrid or Jerez (Spain) and Faro (Portugal) and hire a car. These are all around a five hour drive.
There are good bus services from Seville to Badajoz and from Badajoz to La Codosera. The bus from Lisbon will take you to nearby Elvas or Portalegre, from here we can arrange to collect you.
You won´t find us on Googlemaps and your satnav will get you to within about 2km. You will most likely arrive via Alburquerque so copy these directions:
Coming from Badajoz, 2km before Alburquerque there is a left turn towards La Codosera, it is opposite a petrol station. Follow this road to La Codosera, continue to the end of the road, you will reach a T junction in the village opposite a shop called Rabazo, turn right towards the Piscina Natural. Follow this road to the end and turn left towards Bacoco. Go through Bacoco which is a tiny village. After about 1km you will pass Asador Raices (bar/ restaurant) set back from the road on the right hand side. Continue for another 700m and take the track on the left which is marked by a small pine tree and a square sign for Pan de Trigo. Drive through the first farm and continue up the track to the end. You have arrived.
